Tails of Hope is an all-volunteer, not-for-profit organization based in Lake County, IL. Our mission is to help assisted living candidates and the terminally ill place their pets through foster care and adoption.

Its volunteers care deeply about the future of pets in need and their human companions. The founders bring with them many years of experience in:

• No kill shelters and breed rescues
• Foster care
• Adoption screening and counseling
• Hospice care

This unique No-Kill organization, established in 2002 offers peace of mind for pet owners who must relinquish their beloved companion animals due to a terminal illness or assisted living requirements.

We also take in abused, neglected, and hoarded pets when we are able to. We are often the last chance that many of these animals have. With our newly acquired boarding facility, we can make a bigger impact and save even more lives. Email us to get more information on visiting our facility.
